Cultivate the habit of finding everything sunny regardless of the situation and circumstance. For example, you are having an argument; find out the intention of the opposite person and try to explore the reasoning behind his argument. Try to identify the positive side of the conversation, acknowledge and appreciate it and then make your point. By doing this, you are creating a positive aura, which will turn an argument into a discussion.

Managing Relationships: If your girl friend is constantly complaining that you are not spending enough time with her, instead of complaining back that she is demanding, try to identify the real cause. Try to put yourself in her shoes and see if you feel the same about her. Of course, if she is really demanding, then positive attitude alone may not help; but again, the assumption is that you got a wonderful girl friend.

Work Attitude to Positive Work Attitude: If a person is given a big task with very short deadline, the majority of the people ask one question, “How on the earth am I supposed to complete this work in such a short time?” Instead of wasting your energy on negative questions, use the same energy to make the task possible. There is a reason why your boss gave you that task, and for the same reason he and you are getting paid. Instead of saying, I can’t, say I can.

Choose your attitude: Relationships and office tasks aside try to be sunny in all possible conditions.

  1. Reject to see negative things. Get so busy with positive attitude that you should have no time to worry about negative issues in your life.
  2. Stop Complaining. If you want to take it to next level, read this wonderful book, “A Complaint Free World”. I found a blog with more information on this book. Check it out http://blog.mrfire.com/books/a-complaint-free-world/
  3. You are fine, don’t complain about your health. If you ask a person how are they doing on Monday morning, the typical answer is, “I am tired already.” Break this typical Monday Morning Syndrome. Start your day positively, say you are terrific and this will reflect in your mental and physical body language.

In next post, I will present the next step: Build Solid Self Esteem.
