Flashback & Actors
In previous post, it was all about Fundamental Approach and Cause & Effect relationship. The ending of the last post was to understand where do you stand as an actor. If you are thinking that I am feeling obliged to talk about an actor because I referred to Angelina Jolie in my article, then make a small drift to your opinion. Of course Ms. Jolie is considered to be the most sexiest person in the world, but I seriously doubt her acting abilities. She is nominated for Oscar for her performance in Changeling. I guess I should take a look at Angelina Jolie Filmography to convince myself. Ms. Jolie is a bad (good) subject, I might end up writing one big post talking about her. Anyways, back to track… The reason for mentioning about how we stand as an actor is that everyone is an actor in real life, and few act well and few don’t. I am taking theatre classes (just for fun, not aiming to act with Ms. Jolie) and my instructor shared a cool snippet, “There are basically three types of actors, who react in the following ways, when they see an object, (1)Mr/Ms. Novice – I call it whatever it is, (2)Mr/Ms. Expert – I call it whatever I see it as, (3)Mr/Ms. Master – I call it whatever I want it to be.”
Problem - A Statement of Mind
The bottom line is simple, everyone belongs to one of these categories in their real life. For example, if there is a problem, a novice Life Balancer (LB) will think it as a ‘problem and suffer’. An expert LB, will try to subdue a problem by calling it as an ‘opportunity.’ The master LB will experience it as ‘happiness,’ because that’s what he chose it to be. The whole point is - Problem is nothing but a state of mind. It is a condition, when brain is agitated and sends random impulses to various parts of the body. If you can control that mental state as master LB does, then there is no problem. When there is no problem, then you will never say, “Why these things are happening with me ONLY?” (I mentioned about Control in the first post – Saving yourself against yourself)
1st Step
Looks like we found a solution of “how to lead life without worries.” As we have magic mantra, let us stop worrying and lead an eternal happy life. Is it that simple? Probably not. If it is, you might not have been reading this line. You might have become a Master LB and have been enjoying the beauty of worry free life. It takes a lot to become a master LB, few are born masters and few have to work to become THE ONE. The good news is that there are very few born masters, but the majority should strive to become one. It is good that everyone isn’t a master, or else we will miss kinetics of imbalanced life. It is always good to start from low point, so you can appreciate the highest point. If you are always on the top, you will never appreciate what it means to be at the bottom. Like super famous Paris. I wonder if she appreciates anything at all? She’s stoned most of the times anyways. Damn! Got side tracked again… Back to the topic. So, how to become a Master LB? First step, control yourself (refer back to previous paragraph), constantly tell yourself that you would like to see things the way you want to see it. It doesn’t matter even if it is an illusion. Things are not real anyways (I learned that from Neo, who came from Matrix. I say Neo Revolutions instead of Neo Rocks), so why not add good illusion to it? In next posts, we will find more steps, followed by solution.
